Boots on Ground
Founded by Veterans and family members in 2014 to address the issues of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the prevalence of suicide in the military and prior-military population in Erie County. Initially a small volunteer-based organizations, BOG became a resource for speaking out about the serious impact of PTSD and depression among veterans and their families through sharing of personal stories and identifying a need for community support, especially peer-based offerings, BOG emphasizes the importance of relationships between vets and their effectiveness in addressing the devastation of these all too common disorders as vets re-enter their civilian lives.

Semper Fi Fund
Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime to support to post 9/11 combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, ensuring that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities. Semper Fi Fund was created by a group of Marine Corps spouses. Those same women run the Fund today, alongside other spouses from all service branches and retired service members.

The Fisher House
The Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veterans families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA Medical centers around the world. Their most prominent home is in Dover, Delaware where families of those Killed In Action are supported and housed during the dignified transfers of their loved ones. Since inception, the program has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $360 million in out of pockets costs for lodging and transportation. Fisher House Foundation also operated the Hero Miles donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members as well as the Hotels for Heroes program using donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge, The Foundation also manages a grant program that supports other military charities and scholarship funds for military children, spouses, and children of fallen and disabled veterans.
Waterfowlers for Warriors
CET-Vet is a NonProfit Organization that provides assistance to veterans of all eras and their families. CET Vet also acts as an advocate for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) to both Active/Reserve duty service members and veterans. Their focus includes changing the status-quo regarding Veterans care and what it means to be a Veterans, becoming proactive rather than reactive in the Veterans community, the education of Veterans and our community about PTSD and TBI, and the approach that you never say “no” to a Veterans in need. CET-Vet was founded in honor of Major David Taylor who gave his life to save the lives of his brothers in arms, including the Veteran who founded this organization.
Warrior Brotherhood Veterans Motorcycle Club
This organization is a 501c3 not for profit organization comprised of Veterans and Active Duty who are focused on promoting a strong sense of pride and mutual support among our military Veterans. It is their mission to focus attention on the positive contribution made by Veterans in their communities and to raise awareness of the needs of fellow Veterans. Locally, this Chapter, used this donation to assist a struggling elderly Veterans and his wife with necessary safety improvements to their home as well as on several other worthwhile projects completed by the club. This is a national organization which prides itself on grassroots and tangible support of our veterans community.
American Legion Post 773 Millcreek
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. The Legion stands behind the issues most important to the nation's veterans community, backed by resolutions passed by volunteer leadership.The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation, and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.
Waterfowlers for Warriors
Waterfowlers for Warriors is a unique organization, operating nationwide but specifically here in NW Pennsylvania and in Michigan, who focuses not only on providing outdoor based hunting and fishing recreational opportunities for our wounded warriors but also prides itself on a rich sense of 24/7 support and camaraderie amongst our Veterans, their families, our Fallen and their families. Its goal is to improve and enrich the quality of life for those who have served this country so selflessly.
Veterans Miracle Center Erie
501(c)(3) non-profit located in Erie, PA with a mission to serve Veterans in Erie, Venango, and Crawford Counties of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Modeled after The Veterans Miracle Center of Albany, NY, VMCE serves Veterans by providing services and supplies to those in need. Veterans receive clothing, hygiene products, housewares and hope free of charge. VMCE also partners with other Veterans organizations to provide additional services, support, and counseling. The Veterans Miracle Center’s mission is to offer veterans and active-duty military personnel real solutions that will enhance their lives. We seek to provide clothing, personal care and hygiene products, houseware items, ambulatory equipment, toys for their children and much more — as well as specialists available in counseling for personal needs, jobs, housing or financing. All goods and services are available free-of-charge to veterans and their immediate household.
Wounded Warrior Project
A national organization focused on fostering the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history, specializing in the assistance of raising awareness and enlisting public aid, helping injured service members and encouraging them to assist one another and providing unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. $1000 donation in honor of Corporal Jarrid King.
